PURPOSE:To measure weight and density in safety and in high efficiency by hanging a sample container on an arm capable of being driven in three dimensions, by putting a radioactive sample in the sample container with a manipulator, and measuring its weight in a liquid by raising a substitute liquid container through remote operation. CONSTITUTION:A motor 12' for forward and backward movement moves an arm 3 forth through a feed screw shaft 12 and a guide rail supporting mechanism. Further, a motor 10' for upward and downward movement rotates a cam 10 fixed on a pinion shaft 10 push up the arm 3 and at the same time, it is moved forth through a rack 7, thus suspending a sample container 1 on the arm 3. After a substitute liquid container 13 is elevated by an upward and downward moving mechanism 14', the arm 3 is lowered to hook the sample container 1 on a cock 2, and the weight of the sample container 1 in a liquid is measured by a balance 4. Similarly, the weight of the sample container 3, where a radioactive sample is put with a manipulator, in the liquid is also measured, thereby calculating the density of the sample by using those measured value and the weight in the atmosphere. Thus, the weight and density are measured in safety and in high efficiency. |
