PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain quantitative data of strength of paint film, by keeping a painted body between pinching members, pulling the painted body in such a condition and measuring tensile strength required at that time. CONSTITUTION:A painted body 1, which is painted and cured on a steel plate, etc., is held between pinching members which are securely set onto a fixed section 3, and the specimen 1 is pressed against the pinching members 2 by a fitting plate 4, a bolt 5 and a nut 6. A weighing scale 7 is installed between the pinching members 2 and a fitting plate 4 to detect a load to be applied onto the specimen 1 by the pressing steps. By pulling the specimen 1 in the direction of the arrow by a tensile force measuring meter 8, the tensile force is measured. By so doing, a compressive shearing force is applied onto the paint film of the specimen, and paint film of inadequate adhesion exfoliates in the sliding direction, and therefore, it is possible to obtain quantitative data of strength of the paint film by determining the relationship between the adhesion and the exfoliation force of the paint film and also the friction coefficient, etc. |
