AUTOMATIC OPEN/CLOSE VALVE FOR AIR MICROMETER

PURPOSE:To eliminate the complicated operation and to ensure the easy handling for measurement, by connecting a valve that flows and cuts off the compressed air between the main body of an air micrometer and a measuring head. CONSTITUTION:A body 1 has an inlet 2 through which the compressed air flows from the main body of an air micrometer plus an outlet 3 through which the compressed air is supplied to a measuring head. The inlet 2 is communicated to the output 3 via a main flow path which is automatically opened during the measurement and a secondary flow path which is always opened. The main flow pass comprises an inlet side flow path 4 linked to the inlet 2, the 1st pressure room 5 and an outlet side flow path 6 linked to the outlet 3. The secondary flow path is branched from the flow path 4 and communicated to the flow path 6 via the 1st by-pass flow path 7 incorporating a supply variable throttle 8 and the room 5. The degree of opening can be controlled by the throttle 8 from outside and through a needle part 9a of a control screw 9 for a valve seat 8a.
