The invention relates to a loadspeaker having an essentially closed loudspeaker enclosure, in the side wall of which at least one loudspeaker system is installed which radiates a low frequency range. The internal volume is subdivided by one or more partitions (11) into at least two part-volumes (24, 25) which communicate with one another through an opening or a connecting tube (26) and possibly with the outside air via an additional tube. As a result, the frequency response of the loudspeaker becomes much more uniform in the range of low frequencies and reproduction is noticeably improved, utilising resonance phenomena. <IMAGE>
