A gripping device, intended in particular for use together with an industrial robot for handling bundles of graphic material, comprises a body 1 and two gripping jaws 2, 3 borne by the body and projecting in a mutually parallel manner from the body. One gripping jaw 2 can, in its longitudinal direction, be drawn into the body 1 of the gripping device from its projecting gripping position in order for it to be possible for the goods held by means of the gripping device to be distributed onto a distribution surface, while the other gripping jaw 3 can be moved at right angles to its longitudinal direction towards and away from the gripping jaw 2 in order for it to be possible for the goods to be taken hold of and held between the gripping jaws. The gripping jaw 2 which can be drawn into and extended from the body 1 of the gripping device is provided with a band 8 which is fastened by both ends in the body and runs via guide rollers 9, 10 arranged at the front and, respectively, rear ends of the gripping jaw 2 and extends over that part of the gripping jaw 2 projecting outside the body 1 of the gripping device in order to form the gripping surface which bears against the goods being gripped. <IMAGE> |
