PURPOSE:To increase floating force by providing air jet ports and air suction ports in a lower floating device and an upper floating device, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A lower floating device 100 is provided with slit nozzles 104 for jetting gas obliquely to the inside, around a flat plate 103 so that a space section 102 becomes a positive static pressure area. An upper floating device 107 is provided with a flat plate 108 parallel to a strip material 101 so that a certain space section 110 is formed above the strip material 101. Atmospheric pressure gas 109 is sucked through gaps 111 at a high speed or under a high flow resistance for forming a negative static pressure area in the space section 110.
