In order to enable the automatic detachment of a towing hook (15), this is controllably fitted in housing (12), which is fitted to a rotating mounting (10). The housing includes a hydraulic device, whose cylinder (21) is connected to the hook, by a link (25). The hydraulic device's piston is fixed to the housing and oil pressure in the device normally pushes out the piston relative to the casing, whereby the hook (15) is held in its active position. A valve (29) ensures that the oil pressure in the cylinder does not exceed a certain value. When this occurs, the valve opens so that the cylinder empties and the piston is drawn into the cylinder of the casing. At the same time, the hook (15) is swung down from its active position so that the towrope is released.<IMAGE> |
