PURPOSE:To enable sustained electric discharge of great electric current and to carry out gas ignition reliably, by controlling electric discharge of electric charge charged to a condenser at the second discharging gap through the electric discharge of the first discharging gap generated at a high voltage generator. CONSTITUTION:The first discharging gap 1 is formed by confronting the first electrode 2 with an earth electrode 3, and the first electrode 2 is connected with an impressed voltage circuit 4 of a high voltage generator E1. Then, the second discharging gap 11 is formed by confronting the above earth electrode 3 with the second electrode 12, whose second electrode 12 is installed in a range where resistance in the air is deteriorated by electric discharge of the first discharging gap 1, and is connected with a charging circuit 13 having a charging power source E2 as well. When the electric discharge is generated at the first discharge gap 1 at the time of operation, charged electric charge of a condenser C is discharged from the second electrode 12, but the discharge of the second discharge gap 11 is carried out for a comparatively long period by a great electric current to be determined by an electric charging capacity. |
