摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate faults owing to the discontinuity of original data and freshly recorded data by adding amble signals before and behind a data section and making the width of an erasing area assigning pulse smaller than the width of a recording area assigning pulse. CONSTITUTION:The pulse width TE if an erasing area assigning pulse PE for an area recorded with one block data to be rewritten is made slightly longer than a data section TD so that respectively part of a preamble signal Sf and a postamble signal Sr are contained in the erasing area by an erasing head. The pulse width TR of a writing area assigning pulse PR is made slightly longer than the above-mentioned pulse width TE. As a result of such rewriting, superposed writing is accomplished in the section tau, with respect ot each of the signal Sf and the signal Sr. Since the ample signals are of high frequency components, the generation of the DC components by the superposed writing is of no problem, unlike data.
