METHOD OF FORMING A CORELESS ARMATURE WINDING FOR AN ELECTRIC MACHINE

The device has a wire guide disc rotating about a winding cylinder along a fixed curved path. The axis of this path is inclined to the long axis of the cylinder. Tow guides are located at different places on the surface of the cylinder.The cylinder rotate about its long axis in synchronism with the rotation of the disc so that turns are wound around the cylinder at an angle to its longitudinal axis. The two guides rotate with the cylinder and return to their original position after a given number of turns has been wound. The cycle is repeated until a complete winding has been formed.
