PURPOSE:To obtain a coating mold superior in resistance to baking, resistance to burning, and resistance to peeling for pouring of hot water, by applying an acetylene smoke as the upper layer of a coating mold material consisting of graphite or zircon onto the molding face of a shell mold or the like. CONSTITUTION:After a mixture base material consisting of about 20pts. flake graphite, about 30pts. earthy graphite, about 40pts. coke, about 2pts. zircon, about 3pts. silica gel, proper quantity alcohol is applied with a prescribed thickness on a molding face 2 of a coating mold 1 for casting, the acetylene smoke due to acetylene burner combustion is sprayed uniformly on the surface of said lower-layer applied material 3 to form an upper-layer coating mold material 4 having a prescribed thickness. The acetylene smoke coating mold material is provided with the property of cushion to buffer the peeling action for pouring of hot water because gaps 6, 6- are interposed between respective grains of soot 5, 5-, and the heat resistance of the lower-layer coating mold material 3 is enhanced because of the heat treatment due to flames of acetylene. |
