The Application shows an automatic apparatus for moving sheets from a printing press to a sheet-stitching or binding device, in which no manual handling of the sheets is required at all. The sheets are firstly made into a pile on a stacking device and then passed to a base where a gripping mechanism moves the sheets to a station adjacent to the feed device of a binding device. An automatically operating gripping device then moves the plates from the station to the feed device of the binding device depending on the sheet requirement of the delivery station. A special base and a gripping mechanism are coupled to one another in such a way that the gripping mechanism can engage with the base and receive the base with the sheet pile, and the gripping mechanism can eject the sheet pile from the base at the point of the feed device of the binding device. <IMAGE> |
