PURPOSE:To obtain a floppy disc with a high recording density, by aligning a head carriage while tracing a track locus through the use of format information. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder number is provided for a line 1 as a moving instruction, inputted to a carriage driving logical circuit CDL2, and the CDL2 determines on which cylinder number a head exists at present and whether the head is moved to the center of the carriage or to the external ridge direction, gives a signal to a carriage motor driver MD3. The MD3 drives a carriage motor 4, the carriage is moved to the cylinder number point to read an address mark. An output signal of a head part 5 is given to a control circuit 12 as an output of a reading circuit 11, the moving instruction of the carriage is produced and given to the CDL2 and the alignment of the head carriage is performed. |
