The breathing-out valve is intended for breathing apparatus fed from pressurised air bottles. It comprises a diaphragm (2) as closure member which closes on a seat (annular ribs 5,6) under the action of a spring (18) secured to the diaphragm, ll in accordance with the main patent. One end of the spring is secured (20) to the end of a central pillar (12) fixed (13) on the rear surface of the diaphragm whilst the other end of the spring acts on a (rigid) disc (21) in contact with that surface.
