PURPOSE:To control the distortion of a material testing machine completely and precisely, by load-controlling a distortion set value so that distortion becomes constant or load becomes constant when the load given to a test piece is a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A set signal generator 1 generates a signal, which gives the distortion set value of a target value, and outputs this signal to a comparing part 10 with a waveform such as a sine wave, a triangular wave, and a trapezoidal wave required for the test of materials. A deviation (d) is converted to a stop signal through an amplifier 9 and is introduced directly to the generator 1. This generator 1 stops by this stop signal and incrases or reduces a distortion set signal in accordance with the deviation (d) so that the load value detected by a load detector 7 becomes a set load value. In this distortion controller, when the load given to a test piece 4 is changed gradually after stopping the distortion set signal output, the distortion set signal is increased or reduced in accordance with the polarity of the deviation (d) to return the load value to a preliminarily set stop load value. |
