PURPOSE:To smoothly and accurately perform fitting and removal of a recording medium, by providing a display mechanism which can display information required for fitting and removal of the recording medium with an arbitrary character or a diagram. CONSTITUTION:A peripheral device 1 consists of a basic mechanisms 2 satisfying the essential function of the titled device, a display mechanism displaying an arbitrary character or diagram, a control mechanism 3 controlling the transmission and reception of information with an information processor 5 being an upper-order device. The state of the peripheral device 1, each information relating to a recording medium fitted to the mechanism 2, and information relating to the fitting and removal of the recording medium in the information from the processor 5 are selected at the mechanism 4 and transferred to the display mechanism 3. The mechanism 3 constitutes and displays characters or diagrams which can be recognized by personnel in accordance with the transferred information. |
