<p>The invention relates to animal ear tags. Ear tags for attachment to ears of animals such as cattle in accordance with the invention are made at least in part from a material comprising a polymeric resin matrix having dispersed therein at least one liquid-insecticidally-active isomer of alphacyano-3-phenoxybenzyl alpha-isopropyl-4-chlorophenyl acetate. The invention also includes formation of the tags by injection moulding and their use in controlling pest populations in the vicinity of animals. The ear tags are suprisingly effective in the control of pests, especially flies and ticks, on animals such as cattle.</p> |
