The reflective panel (10) for e.g. a traffic lane, carries a reflector layer. A layer directing the light with short transparent projections (18,27,28,30,31) is over this. These have a front edge surface (20) positioned crosswise to the lengthwise axis so as to transmit a higher percent. of light at a high angle of incidence. The back surface (21) extends upwards & is positioned so as to direct the light downwards to send the light reflected back by the crosswise layer to the front edge surface in the direction of the light source. The reflector layer incorporates a profiled sheet on its inside surface covered by a covering sheet of cube corner shape.
