The yarn feeding device comprises a pair of co-axially mounted rollers(4,6) mounted for relative rotation & carrying laps of yarn(F) which are wound in opposite directions. Draw off section of the storage roller(4) is arranged axially adjacent the winding-on section of the feed roller(6) & separated from each other by a support member such that the yarn is transferred directly from one roller to the other. Rollers are driven at a relative speed which on average corresponding to twice the speed of the roller.
