Apparatus for regulating the size of the flow in a flowing fluid and including an elastic body (1), which is placed in a passage (12,13) through which the fluid flows, and which is so designed that the body undergoes plastic deformation in proportion to the inflowing fluid's pressure. With increasing deformation the body increasingly constricts the flow channel through the passage (12,13), so that the tendency to increasing volumes of flow with increasing pressure is at least partly compensated by the cross-sectional area reduction, which the body's deformation causes. The elastic body (1) is hat shaped with a convex side, facing the inflowing fluid, and a concave side, facing the direction which the fluid flows out. In its centre, the body has an opening, which while the body seeks to flatten itself out because of the pressure of the flowing fluid, reduces in area so that the above compensation effect arises.<IMAGE> |
