PURPOSE:To make possible to continuously produce heat-insulated pipes so as to improve the productivity, by spraying a foamable urethane foam raw liquid on a pipe that is fed while it is rotating, allowing the raw liquid to foam and solidify so that the foam forms a cylindrical surface, winding an exterior material on the foam, and cutting the pipe into prescribed lengths. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 1 is fed in a direction of its length by the rotation of a feeding roller 2 and is also rotated due to the inclination of the roller 2. The raw liquid 7 of foamable urethane foam is sprayed onto the outer circumferential surface of the pipe 1, and is allowed to foam and solidify. The thus foamed urethane foam 8 is finished by a grinding roll 9 of a working apparatus into a smooth cylindrical surface, and a tape 10 is wound on the surface to form continuously heat-insulated pipe 13. The continuous heat-insulated pipe 13 is cut by a cutting apparatus into prescribed lengths thereby heat-insulated pipes having a prescribed size can be obtained. To feed a plurality of such pipes 1 continuously, connecting members 14 are successively applied, and if desired, a tape 15 is wound. |
