PURPOSE:To maintain rear wheels of a front and a rear axle sides in a braking state reliably, by locking automatically an interaxle differential device when a propeller shaft side connecting an internal combustion engine with a driving shaft side is braked. CONSTITUTION:When a parking brake switch 16 is energized in response to pulling-up action of a parking lever, a solenoid valve 14 is released and compressed air sent into an air cylinder 30 from an air tank 13. With this, a sliding sleeve 11 is slided and a front drive gear 25 and a rear drive pinion shaft 23 are connected with each other. As an interaxle differential system, therefore, is locked automatically when a propeller shaft 41 is set in a braking state, a front drive shaft 27 and a rear drive shaft 28 are set in the braking state reliably and a movement of an automobile having two axles type rear wheel at the time of its parking is prevented from occurring. |
