PURPOSE:To decrease a pressure drop and prevent generation of a jet noise in a pipe end, by providing communication holes in internal walls of two parallelly arranged exhaust pipes, air-tightly coating the both pipes with a cover and forming branch silencer chambers consisting of space parts. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust device comprises two parallelly arranged exhaust pipes 1, 2, and two communication holes 3 are provided correspondingly to each internal wall located at a face-to-face position. The pipes 1, 2 provided with said communication holes 3 are coated with a cover 4, while longitudinal end and center parts of the pipe are partitioned by separator plates 5 to form front resonance and rear branch silencer chambers 6a and 6b consisting of space parts between the both pipes 1, 2. In this way, exhaust gas from an engine flows into the pipes 1, 2 and the firstly flows into the other pipes 2, 1 via the front communication hole 3, secondly flows into the pipes 1, 2 from the rear communication hole 3 and is discharged to the atmosphere, during this time silenced by the chambers 6a, 6b. |
