PURPOSE:To manufacture diffraction gratings wherein lattice constants of gratings and the number of slits are changed in a short time by moving a vertical plate while holding a horizontal plate fixed thereby making the diffraction gratings. CONSTITUTION:A manufacturing device for diffraction gratings is constituted of an ink coating unit which coats ink on the surface of a plate 21 and a unit which inscribes slits on the ink coated film on the surface of a substrate 21. A few drops of black ink are dropped onto the surface of the substrate 21 like a preparation for microscopes on a holding plate 13 by means of the ink coating unit and the substrate is rotated for about 10sec. Such substrate is mounted to a vertical plate 36 of the slit inscribing unit, and a piece of slit is inscribed on the ink film surface by sliding the plate manually on a horizontal base 37 and by using a blade 22. While observing the scale of a micrometer head, the operator inscribes the 2nd slit by moving the plate 36 to a prescribed extent. |
