PURPOSE:To prepare tyramine oxidase which is a diagnostic enzyme useful for the determination of the activity of leucine aminopeptidase in blood serum, by culturing a specific bacterial strain belonging to Arthrobacter genus. CONSTITUTION:To prepare tyramine oxidase from the fermentation product obtained by culturing Arthrobacter sp. B-0813 (FERM-P No.6240) which is a bacterial strain belonging to Arthrobacter genus and capable of producing tyramine oxidase. Since tyramine oxidase is highly reactive with tyramine and non- reactive with L-leucyl-tyramine, it is useful as a diagnostic enzyme for the determination of leucine aminopeptidase activity in blood serum. |
