PURPOSE:To obtain the amount of thermal displacement of main spindle and consequently correct the origin of co-ordinates by a method wherein the amount of supply of cooling oil with a fixed oil temperature is controlled based upon the detected value of a temperature sensor equipped within the main spindle and the spindle speed and at the same time the setting function of external co-ordinate system is used. CONSTITUTION:The temperature within the main spindle is detected by the sensor 6 equipped within the spindle head 1 and at the same time the spindle speed is detected. The amount of cooling oil supplied to the spindle head is controlled based upon both said detected values. In addition, the amount of thermal displacement of the main spindle is obtained from the temperature detected by the sensor and the room temperature in order to correct the origin of co-ordinates of the main spindle. In such a manner as mentioned above, highly accurate working is obtained. |
