CUT-OUT SYSTEM OF CHARACTER LINE

PURPOSE:To cut out a character line to be read with high accuracy, by using the peripheral distribution of the character pattern information written to a buffer memory. CONSTITUTION:The region including a desired line of a slip is scanned through a photoelectic converting part 10, and the photoelectric converting signal is stored in a buffer memory 2 of a pattern memory part 20. The above-mentioned scan is over, a driving number indicating part 30 divides the character pattern information of the memory 2 with the prescribed dividing number. Then a peripheral distribution processing part 40 divides the character pattern information in the line direction and in accordance with a command given from the part 30 and detects the direction of inclination of a character line. A line cut-out region calculating part 50 calculates a cut-out region from the information on the dividing number given from the part 30 and the information on the peripheral distribution and the direction of inclination of the character line given from the part 40.
