OF THE DISCLOSURE Aqueous enzyme preparation stabilized with a salt of a lower molecular weight acid in the presence of alcohol. Detergent compositions containing these enzymes have a wide variety of uses in that they are capable of removing proteinaceous and starchy stains such as egg stains, blood stains, gravy stains and the like.
