PRECAST HOUSE MAKING PLANT In a portable plant for craneless manufacture and erection of concrete wall panels and roof slabs to form single-storey houses, it is known to have two rotatable solid form-erectors, a lifting form and a rotatable plain form-stripper. This invention represents an improved trailer-mounted handoperated modification of that plant intended for making houses and shelters consisting of narrow room units (width 2.7-3.6m). In order to overcome some difficulties while building the second and subsequent bays, the form-erectors can be folded lengthwise. The form-stripper is equipped with an additional detachable form for producing and positioning in the same cycle two panels: either an end wall panel and a partition, or two end wall panels (for single-unit bays or shelters). The form-stripper overlaps the form-erectors to provide the proper location of the partitions. The presented modification of the machinery can be used in combination with the previous design of the casting and erecting equipment. Also, the plant may temporarily or permanently operate without the lifting form, while the ceiling and roof are made with traditional methods. This invention is intended for providing people with lowcost housing, as well as for building annexes and various structures.
