PURPOSE:To enable rearranging of rolls in a short time by making an inner stand in which a forming roll is incorporated insertable and detachable in horizontal direction at right angles to the pass line to and from an outer stand that can install it at the inside. CONSTITUTION:Guide rails for inserting and pulling out an inner stand 4 to and from an outer stand 5 are installed at right angles to the pass center line and to connect to rails for moving upward and downward opposite to roll driving side of the stand 5. When rearranging rolls, a wedge plate for positioning between stands 4, 5 is removed, and after lifting an upper roll chock, is supported on a truck by a driving mechanism attached to the stand 5. Then, the driving mechanism is cut off from the mechanism on the truck. The rails for moving upward and downward are raised to bring them to the same height with fixed rails to connect to the guide rails. The stand 4 is pulled out from the stand 5 by a cylinder mechanism through the truck and a rod 35 connected to it. Then, a new inner stand 4' is moved in the direction of the arrow and is inserted to the stand 5. |
