The invention relates to a shuttle conveyor for use in mining operations in which the winning of the mineral is preferably effected by blasting work. A protective wall (18) shielding the travelling track from the conveying or winning track (16) is arranged on the frame of the shuttle conveyor (11). The protective wall (18) is formed from shielding plates (40) which are pivotably mounted on the conveyor frame and can be swung from their swung-up working position towards the working face into a swung-down position in which they cover at a distance the conveyor base (19) and the shuttle-conveyor scrapers (35), which can be moved across the conveyor base. In their swung-down position the shielding plates (40) can form a working platform. At their rear side they conveniently have pusher legs (52) for mounting drilling machines with which the bore holes can be made in the working face (10). Furthermore, the invention is directed towards a convenient design of the individual conveyor sections (12) of the shuttle conveyor as well as the bearing arrangement of the scrapers (35) on the articulated beam (21) used as drawing means. <IMAGE> |
