PURPOSE:To promote the maturing of a laver and improve the quality thereof, by keeping the interior of an inner tank containing a raw laver fed therein at a specific pressure or above, and applying a necessary osmotic pressure to the raw laver in the inner tank. CONSTITUTION:A raw laver (X) cut in the previous step is sent to an inner tank 4 under pressure by the driving of a feed pump 13, and water is partially exuded from the raw laver (X) fed in the inner tank 4 to flow into an outer tank 1 and begin storing therein. When the internal pressure of the outer tank 1 becomes a given pressure, a discharging valve 20 is opened to start and continue the releasing of the pressure of the interior of the outer tank 1. The operation is continued to fill the interior of the outer tank 1 with the water, and the equilibrium state is kept. The feed pump 13 is stopped just before the state, and a water feed valve 10 is opened to drive a water feed pump 8 and permeate fresh water uniformly into the raw laver (X) in the inner tank 4. Thus, the inner tank 4 made of a porous material acts as a water-permeable membrane, and the hydrolytic action is carried out between the raw laver (X) and the water in the inner tank 4 rapidly in a relatively short time. |
