PURPOSE:To reduce a pressure loss in a suction passage and suppress a change of pressure, by forming recessed parts respectively to the external end side wall of a turning scroll lap and the side wall of a fixed scroll lap for said external end side wall to enlarge the suction passage. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 9 is formed to the lap side wall face of a winding end outer edge part 2c in a lap 2a of a turning scroll 2, and a suction gap g' is ensured by the recessed face 10 of the part 9 and the side wall face of an end plate part 1c of a fixed scroll 1 placed at a face-to-face position to the face 10. Then the part 9 is provided so as to be engaged to a winding finish end face 2d of the turning scroll lap 2a. While the face 10 of the part 9 is formed to a circular arc shape located at an equal distance R from the center Om of the scroll 2. In this way, a suction passage reaching the suction part in a scroll compressor can be always widely maintained despite turning motion of the scroll 2 to both reduce a pressure loss in the suction passage and suppress a change of pressure in the suction part to a less level. |
