The pipe clip has curved jaws (2-3) into which the pipe is snap fitted. The base (4) of the clip has a dia. at least equal to that of the tube and may be two or three times bigger. The shank (6) may be parallel or tapered and has a pointed end (7). The screw (5) is in the form of an Archimedean screw with an angle alpha greater than 45 degrees and pref. greater than 60 degrees. The clip can be fixed into friable panels in less than two turns.
