<p>Machinery for loading controlled amts. of a paste material, such as cosmetic or stage make-up material on to a series of individual supports comprises a turntable with associated slave mechanisms for (A) dispensing flat or shallow supports from a vertical tubular magazine via a radial base outlet opposite a reciprocating shoe; (B) dispersing a slice or pack of paste from a continuous stock on to the container; (C) forming the paste to a pref. shape by use of a shroud membrane; (D) using an automatic cutter or scraper to remove any excess paste; (E) transferring the loaded holder to an offtake conveyor, and (F) automatically scrubbing and rinsing the support tool prior to dispensing the next holder on to that tool. No specific plastics applications or components quoted, except possibly the shroud membrane which is of unspecified material, though in some respects the equipment is similar to that used for 'top forming' by successive transfer moulding, compression moulding and thermoforming of a small pack of thermoplastic material.</p> |
