<p>The tape holder dispenses adhesive tape from a roll (1), cuts it to the required length to form a fastener e.g. for a plastics bag. An eccentric head (7) with a cutter draws the tape from the roll and is pinned (8) to a return spring (11) lever arm (10). The cutter head may encounter a cammed face (15) with the effect that one end of the cut length is applied to the other. The cutting being effected when the cutter meets a counter cutter (13). An ancillary spring (9) returns the head to the start position (5). The fastening cycle comprises reciprocal arm movements with the bag neck placed in a notch after the forward stroke.</p> |
