PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to obtain secure and smooth vertical moving and loading/unloading operation in a box-shaped object transporting an elevator unit, by constituting the unit in such a way that an article can be hoisted or lowered while it leans against a rear side guide rail by means of longitudinal endless chains and a supporter and pushed out in a lateral direction at a specified position. CONSTITUTION:When an article 21 is conveyed by a carry-in conveyor 34 into between a pair of endless chains 12, a supporter 20 pushes the article 21 upward and holds it in such a state that the article 21 leans against the guide rail 25 side. In this state, the article 21 goes up together with the endless chains 12. At a specified position, a pushing device 29 operates in a linked manner to push the article 21 forward so that the article 21 is shifted over a carry-out conveyor 35. By holding the article leaned against the guide rail side like this, an article can be transported in a stable and secure manner. |
