PURPOSE:To obtain the titled dust cover of a light weight capable of easily providing unitarily various projections without lowering rigidity, strength and corrosion resistance by forming the titled dust cover from a stamping member made of a thermoplastic resin reinforced with a long fiber. CONSTITUTION:A stamping member is a thermoplastic material such as polyethylene formed by a reinforcing material of a fiber length not adapted for use in injecting molding is blended in a fiber of glass, carbon or the like, at a high mixing ratio. The stamping member is molded by compression and heating. In the dust cover 10 formed from the stamping member are formed a center hole 12 and a cutout 14 by a metal mold. Fins 18 are provided in a scooper part 16 to thereby prevent ingress of foreign matters. Further, an airstream A is formed, and a disc rotor 20 is effectively cooled. The cover 10 is fitted in a projection 30 of an axle housing 28, and assembled by forcing. |
