PURPOSE:To enable adequate operation in the event of earthquake by detecting the accelerations and amplitudes of the respective oscillation detectors disposed in plural sections and comparing the same with reference values thereby monitoring the oscillations in each of the sections in a nuclear reactor plant and securing the safety of the plant. CONSTITUTION:Accelerated oscillation detectors 114 for earthquake are installed in the plural sections of a building for a nuclear reactor where earthquake- resistance classes differ and the construction ground, and the respective detection signals are transmitted to a signal processing part 116 and are also transmitted to a safety protection system 118 so that mechanisms for driving control rods are scrum-operated. The part 116 calculates the acceleration and amplitude in each of the parts 114, transmits the same as a display signal, compares the acceleration and amplitude with reference values and transmits an alarm signal when the acceleration and amplitude exceed the reference values. The signals for display and alarm are supplied respectively to a display part 122 and an alarm generating part 124, by which the acceleration and amplitude of each oscillation are displayed quantitatively and the degrees thereof are displayed dividedly in different colors for each of the detection sections. |
