PURPOSE:To attain duplicated writing in the thermographic recording, by making the recording time of a succeeding scanning line shorter than that of the 1st scanning line among plural consecutive scanning lines of the same picture data, in the duplicated writing of reception recording. CONSTITUTION:Block selection circuits of l-set are selected one by one at each signal PO. A shift register S/R 5 shifts picture element data in each m-bit dividing picture elements for one scanning line's share by l, and applies the data to m-set of recording elements in each block of a recording head. Thus, the lpieces of PO signals are generated in a recording time for one scanning line's share, the S/R 5 is shifted for the block recording. A recording pulse generating circuit 4 generates a recording pulse P of a prescribed width by the signal PO, and the output of a binary-decimal converter B/D 2 is gated by the pulse P. Thus, the pulse width of l pieces of outputs depends on the pulse P, and the recording time at each block is controlled by the width of the pulse P. In applying a signal L/2 to the circuit 4 and switching the width of the pulse P, the pulse width of the substantial scanning line and that at the duplicated writing are obtained automatically, and the duplicated writing is obtained without deteriorating the picture quality. |
