PURPOSE:To prevent an overheating phenomena of a surface of rotor by a method wheren a pipe for suctioning steam of low temperature is opened to a space enclosed by the rotor and an inner ring of first stage nozzle diaphragm and the other end of the pipe is connected to an extraction pipe of low pressure. CONSTITUTION:Steam of low temperature at the outlet of the first stage moving blade 12 flows backwardly through a balance hole 18 under a negative reaction as a medium for cooling a rotor 15 and then flows into a space 17 enclosed by the rotor 15 and the inner ring 13 of the nozzle diaphragm of the first stage nozzle 11. Further, the steam passes through the orifice 21 of a suction pipe 19 and then flows out to an extraction pipe 20 for extracting the low pressure steam rather than the steam of low temperature. |
