To reduce costs and workload in joining parts (10) of concrete columns, holes (12) are made axially in a specific pattern in the column ends so that the holes are aligned when one pole part is placed on another. The holes have a predetermined depth and cross-sectional area. In each pair of counterposed holes, a metal bar (13) is inserted with known expansion limits, pref. of light metal alloy. The bar length is more than double the hole depth. At the first drop-hammer stroke, the bar material spreads and the material in the excess part of the bar is adequate for the hole to be filled. To prevent the bar material expanding in the joint plane, a socket of hard material is inserted in the hole mouth.
|
