PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption, by giving the time in which current reverse to applied pulse current does not flow by using transistors having diode characteristics, to the coil of a step motor. CONSTITUTION:Transistors 4-7 for applying driving current to the coil 3 of a step motor have diode characteristics and reverse current is cut off by diodes 12. Accordingly, in a period until the rotor completes rotation of one step by inertia after application of driving pulse to the coil 3, reverse electric power due to induction magnetic field of the coil 3 does not flow to the coil 3. Thus, power consumption can be reduced. |
