PURPOSE:To obtain a variable focus compact camera, by employing a bar which moves straight for a forward/backward moving mechanism for focal length switching which uses a sub lens. CONSTITUTION:An extender 18 for holding a sub lens system 19 is attached to a shaft 21 while energized by a spring 11 in, for example, a telephotography state behind a main lens system 12 and a shutter unit 50 so that it rotates toward an optical axis side. A supporting bar 8 is fixed to a lens barrel unit 40 in parallel to the optical axis and fitted in the holding part 41 of a camera body 42, and the supporting bar 8 is moved forth by using a guide bar 9 to rotate the extender 18, inserting the sub lens system 19 into an optical path. Further, a bellows 5 is provided between the rear end of the lens barrel unit 40 and a light shielding frame plate 4. |
