摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive to calmly start an engine and to prolong the useful life of a battery, by a method wherein a hydraulic motor connected directly to a rotary shaft of an engine is rotated by supplying a liquid from an accumulator to thereby start the engine, and the liquid is returned into a power steering gear and the accumulator. CONSTITUTION:Each time a brake pedal is depressed, a pressure switch 24 is turned ON by a liquid pressure (not lower than a predetermined value) accumulated in the accumulator 25. When starting the engine, the switch 24 is turned ON to send a signal to a change-over controlling circuit 26, which feeds an operating signal to a solenoid 22b, thereby setting a solenoid change-over valve 22 into a lower position. As a result, the liquid accumulated in the accumulator 25 is passed through the valve 22, drives a hydraulic pump motor 21 to rotate, and thereby starts the engine 1. A working fluid fed from the motor 21 is fed to a check valve 9 and the valve 22 through a flow control valve 7 and a direction-controlling valve 8, and is returned into a reserving tank 10. Accordingly, a starting motor is unnecessitated, gear meshing sounds are eliminated, and the useful life of the battery is prolonged.
