PURPOSE:To easily open or close the gate door of a sluice manually by a simplified system consisting of a chain whose one end is connected to the upper end and the other end is connected to a counter-balance and a handle to turn the sprockets. CONSTITUTION:A sluice consists of a floor slab 1, paired weir pillars 2, connecting beams 3, and a gate door D vertically moving along the coupling grooves 2A of the weir pillars 2. When a handle 12 is turned, a small gear 14, a large gear 13, a drive shaft 5, and sprockets 6 are orderly turned, and thereby a chain 9 connecting the gate door D with the counter-balance 10 is moved and the gate door D is vertically moved. Lock mechanisms are provided to the handle 12 and a supporting bracket in such a way as to enable the gate door D to stop at any position. |
