PURPOSE:To make compact a construction, constantly impart a stable back tension to an ink sheet and enable to achieve a favorable recordong operation, by a method wherein a roller driven by a stepping motor is used combinedly for feeding a paper and imparting a back tension to an ink sheet. CONSTITUTION:The ink sheet 16 supplied to a recording position is given a back tension by rollers 4, 12. Namely, a driving coil 6a of the stepping motor 6 is impressed with a driving voltage Vc, directly at the time of a rotating mode, and through a resistor R at the time of a holding mode. Therefore, at the time of the rotating mode, a driving torque becomes large and a paper is securely fed, while at the time of the holding mode, a holding torque adjusted to an appropriate value is exerted on the extremely thin ink sheet 16 as a back tension. Accordingly, the ink sheet 16 is supplied to the recording position in a stable condition and without generating any wrinkle. |
