PURPOSE:To obtain constantly desirable steering characteristics in accordance with changes in car speed by making the spring characteristics of a spring means provided in parallel with the damper of a car suspension variable, and controlling said spring characteristics in accordance with the change in the car speed. CONSTITUTION:Accumulators 1A, 2A which have actuators 1a, 2a consisting of solenoid valves are connected respectively to suspensions 1, 2. The spring constant KF, KR of air springs can be varied by connecting the air chambers in the accumulators 1A, 2A to the air chambers in the air springs on the suspensions 1, 2 through said solenoid valves. The output from a controller 3 which receives signals from a car-speed sensor 4 is inputted in the actuators 1a, 2a. The actuators 1a, 2a which receive said output, i.e., the signals indicating the car speed, control the air springs 1b, 2b to reduce or increase their spring constants. |
