MANUFACTURE OF COMMUTATOR SEGMENT FOR MOTOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable mass production of commutator segments for a motor by forming copper-aluminum clad material by means of a roll clad method and punching it by pressing, thereby improving the physical and mechanical properties of the segment. CONSTITUTION:A thin strip plate of aluminum-zinc alloy is interposed between an aluminum strip 11 and a copper strip 12 to form a copper-aluminum clad material by means of a roll clad method by using rollers 14. This copper-aluminum clad material is punched in shape of commutator segment leg by a transfer press, hook part is bent to complete the segment. The aluminum-zinc alloy contains 50-55% of aluminum and the residue of zinc.
