PURPOSE:To make washing water unnecessary and to reduce the energy cost and a load of pollution by subjecting an imagewise exposed photograhic sensitive silver halide material to photographic processing including fixing, treating the material with a desalting bath contg. an antifungal agent, and stabilizing it. CONSTITUTION:A photographic sensitive silver halide material contg. a 2-ureido- 5-acylaminophenol type cyan coupler is imagewise exposed and subjected to photographic processing including fixing. The material is then treated with a desalting bath of 4-8pH contg. 0.01-50g/lantifungal agent such as 2-(4-thiazolyl) benzimidazole, and it is stabilized with a stabilizing bath of 4-8pH contg. 0.01-50g/l aldehyde deriv. such as formaldehyde and/or 0.2-2g/l stilbene type optical whitening agent. Thus, the material is prevented from undergoing decomposition due to the generation of a microorganism and contamination due to the formation of silver sulfide, etc. even when used for a long term. |
